Meet LAUREN

Hello and welcome! My name is Lauren and I’m the author of “Savoring our Time”. I’m a full-time working mom of two beautiful boys whom I have a hard time keeping up with most days! (Hence the reason why I’m always planning the next adventure!) I currently reside in St. Augustine, FL with my family that also includes my hubby and four-legged feline fur-babies.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, I was bitten by the travel bug after moving to the suburbs of Seattle, WA as a teen. My parents felt there were more opportunities for my brother and I on the mainland. From the many flights from coast to coast, and road trips in-between, I learned there was so much more to see outside of my “little bubble”. As a young adult, I stretched past our US borders and traveled internationally for the first time…and the rest is history!

As parents ourselves now, my husband and I recognize it is solely our job to raise our boys to be the best human beings they can be. We believe experiences and learning about the world outside of their home is one of the best ways to do this. Whether it’s visiting a local museum, a big (or not so well-known) city, or even Disney World, there are always learning opportunities. Our #1 goal during our travels is to try and be as present as we can be. Which is why I aim to plan as much as I can in advance. This way we are not spending much of our time stressing or glued to our phones to figure out what to do next.
